New Egypt / Plumsted Visiting & Lodging

New Egypt offers a different kind of Ocean County visit: vineyards, farm markets, u-pick fields, historic Main Street, country roads, seasonal festivals and rural landscapes instead of beaches and boardwalks. Plumsted Township sits near the Ocean–Monmouth–Burlington county edges, making it an easy day-trip base for farm-country and central New Jersey destinations.

This NJTGO guide combines New Egypt and Plumsted Township into one visitor page and clearly separates attractions inside the township from nearby destinations that use the New Egypt name or are commonly paired with a visit.

Where to Stay

Plumsted has very limited conventional lodging, which makes the farm inn on Archertown Road especially important. Visitors who need a standard hotel generally look to nearby communities around Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Hamilton, East Windsor or other regional corridors.

Nearby Hotel Area Hamilton / Robbinsville Northwest of New Egypt A larger selection of national-brand hotels, restaurants and highway services is available around the Hamilton and Robbinsville area.

2026 lodging status: the Archertown Road inn is currently open for overnight stays on selected weekends tied to Laurita Winery and Dancer Farm events rather than operating as an unrestricted every-night hotel. Visitors should confirm that their intended dates are available before planning around the inn.
Legacy-name update: the original NJTGO page listed only “Inn at Laurita Winery.” That name and website remain active in 2026, while newer current branding also presents the property as The Inn at Dancer Farm. NJTGO identifies both names so travelers can recognize the same 19 Archertown Road property.
